Tracking Tea's Journey through Time tracks Wealth, & Wisdom. Tea carved a path into every corner and every culture in the world. A deep study in Tea is a study in Spirituality, Practicality, Philosophy, History, Economics, and most importantly.... Tea can be a study in the pursuit of Personal Happiness.

Tea's Journey through the History of Time itself spans the last 4750 years, where tea has been a staple of Wisdom, Knowledge, Culture, and sometimes, Power... 

To study what we call "Tea's Journey" is to study much of the World's Philosophy and Religion. 

From East to West, Tea has been a commodity that is highly prized for Millennia 

Tea's creation, in Legend, dates back to 2737 BC in Ancient China. As a reference point, that is when the Pyramids in Egypt were being built. After thousands of years, Tea is still a commonplace item to most cultures and is a daily ritual for people globally.

More than a millennia after Tea's original discovery, wandering Zen Buddhist monks were responsible for spreading tea throughout Asia. Sent to bring Zen back from China, they returned home to Japan with tea plants and leaves as early as 611 CE.¹

The Experience of drinking tea is a key cultural symbol all over the world. Ranging from "Western Culture" and English Tea Time, to the cultures of many Asian cultures including China.  In the USA (where I write this presently and from where my cultural background stems) most people probably know about the Boston Tea Party... 

Tea is magic in a way. Simple magic, but Real World Magic nonetheless. It’s ceremonial. It's of the  Earth and Water mixing. Tea is as simple as it gets, yet also has complexities that reveal lessons about the world around us and our own inner world.
